Peter Biles is a writer and academic. He is the author of several novels and short story collections, including What the Tree Saw, Last November, Through the Eye of Old Man Kyle, Keep, and Hillbilly Hymn, with a novel and novella forthcoming in 2027. He is Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and English at Oklahoma Baptist University and a PhD student at Oklahoma State University where he studies fiction writing and 19th-century American literature. He typically writes speculative fiction, but many of his short stories fall into the “literary” category as well. His writing has appeared in dozens of magazines including Plough, The Dispatch, Dappled Things, RealClearBooks, Front Porch Republic, and many others.
